The Organizing Committee at the Citadel Centre for Arts, Culture and Crafts presented a series of Sacred Concerts along the Lenten period. Schola Cantorum Jubilate performed on the eve of Palm Sunday which introduces the faithful to the Holy Week. The concert was held at St. Ursula Hall previously known as the Crafts Centre. The entrance to the hall was lit by several candles which led to a painting of the Ecce Homo by the well-known Gozitan artist George Schembri. Joe M. Attard welcomed the audience and presented Schola Cantorum Jubilate.

All pieces performed were a cappella and in SATB. In between certain pieces, four choristers (Stefan Attard, Dianne A. Galea, Gilbert Cini and Therese Attard) read short writings about God's love towards man, penance and eternity. Another reading was taken from Morris West, ‘The Clowns of God'. The pieces performed were: ‘O Bone Jesu', ‘Adoramus Te', ‘O Domine Jesu Christe' by Palestrina, ‘Popule Meus' by Palestrina and Victoria, ‘Miserere' (Lotti), ‘Crux Fidelis' (King John IV), ‘O Ras ta' Kristu Mbierka' (Hassler/Bach), ‘Stabat Mater' ( Kodály), ‘Christus Factus Est' (Debono, who is a member of Schola Cantorum Jubilate) and Bartolucci's ‘Ubi Charitas', ‘O Sacrum Convivium' and ‘Regina Coeli'. After the concert, a collection was done in aid of a family from Naxxar who lost their house and all their possessions during a tragedy some days ago.
