Mgr. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo, ordained two deacons - Mark Bonello from the Parish of Xaghra and Daniel Grech from Kercem. The High Mass started at 5.30pm at the Gozo Cathedral in Victoria. Schola Cantorum Jubilate was invited to animate the liturgy. The choir performed the 'Missa de Angelis' by Terenzio Zardini and the hymns: 'Jubilate Deo' (Portelli), 'Allelulia' (Frisina), 'O Sacrum Convivium' (Bartolucci), 'Ave Verum Corpus' (Mozart), 'Tina l-Hlewwa' (Caruana) and finally Arcadelt's 'Ave Maria'. Jean Noel Attard accompanied the choir on the organ.
